First Advantage Bank has recruited a former Avenue Bank executive to lead its credit operations.
Richard Bynum joins Clarksville-based First Advantage, which runs six branches and a lending office in the region and has about $500 million in assets, as senior vice president and chief credit officer after spending nearly nine years at Avenue.
Bynum joined the bank, which is being acquired by Pinnacle Financial Partners, from Regions Bank in the summer of 2007, as a VP when it was still in its organizational phase. He later managed the business banking and consumer loan processes for Avenue before being named senior VP and director of credit operations in the summer of 2013.
Bynum joins several other senior Avenue executives who have moved on from the bank ahead of its $200 million sale to Pinnacle, which is expected to be completed in the next two months. Others have joined Franklin Synergy Bank and Reliant Bank.
